2002 BMW 525D came in for a remap as the owner wanted to squeeze some more power out of it. After running the car on our dyno it was obvious there was an issue with the remap that was currently on the vehicle along side a mechanical problem. After a short investigation we found a simple issue with the vehicle that has been missed by other workshops. A returning customer brought us his 2008 Audi A4 2.0 TDi 140 in for one of our eco remaps. This one came in only making 115-120bhp (98.6bhp wheel power) as it had a blocked diesel cat. Once remapped and run on our dyno for a few hard power runs, the smoking stopped, (diesel cat cleared) it pulled 153.6bhp and gained 44ftlbs. Not a bad result for a full eco remap. Good gains in mpg to be had on this one if driven correctly too.
BMW 123D in for a custom remap with us. This one was previously remapped unbeknown to the owner and the remap was hideous. Requesting dangerous levels of boost and making near stock torque. The drive of it was terrible and unlike any turbo diesel engine should be. 2011 VW Caddy Maxi 1.6 Tdi 102ps in for a EGR delete as it was causing issues. This is a bench unlock job where we have to remove the ECU, open it up and connect up directly to the PCB board. Once unlocked the ECU can be reprogrammed through the OBD port. Whilst deleting the EGR software the customer thought they may as well boost the power up a little and increase the MPG too.
